Paperworks is unique in its offering to adults with complex needs; we give individuals the opportunity to try real work in our workshop for real customers. We have a large range of commercial clients who support us from stationary firms to high-end soap products to school uniform suppliers and we ship all over the world for them. We also endeavour to break down the barriers for people with a learning disability in encouraging them to make choices and have a voice in the outside world to showcase their achievements.

About being a trainee
We like to give trainees the opportunity to try new jobs and gain new skills, but this can depend on what sort of customer work is available. There are many sorts of jobs trainees do from shredding, weighing and counting, to admin tasks such as making booklets, data inputting and doing mailouts. Our training and support staff, support trainees to fulfil orders, take account of stock, despatch orders, package goods and all other aspects of being able to run a business.

Here at Paperworks, it is not all work, work, work! We also want to enhance people’s wellbeing and try to add a bit of fun to our day by running projects around our trainee’s interests. For instance, we recently did a dance project across both sites!

How do I join?

The first part of our application process is completing a referral form.  This form will help us to find out about you, what support you might need and what you hope to get out of Paperworks. The next step is for us to consider if we think that we can offer you the right support and enable you to move forward with your goals. We may then ask for more information or invite you to a taster day with your support worker. A referral form and further information can be found here.
